Tradition
The Wolken Dental Firm was established in Clayton in 1939 by Dr. Donald J. Wolken upon his graduation from St. Louis University. After serving with the medical hospital group from SLU and 2 and 1/2 years in Europe during World War II, Dr. Wolken returned to Clayton, where his practice steadily grew. His son, Dr. Steven F. Wolken, joined the firm in 1974, and continued the practice after Dr. Donald Wolken retired.
Family
Dr. Steven Wolken has provided quality care to his patients for over 30 years. The third generation, Dr. Christopher M. Wolken joined the practice in 2003, maintaining the longest continual family practice of dentistry in the Clayton area. Another Wolken son, Andrew, has also completed his D.D.S. and joined the practice in 2008.

The Wolken Dental Firm runs a state-of-the-art dental facility, delivering the highest quality care available with an emphasis on patient safety and digital dental delivery. Drs. Wolken use laser technology, digital radiology, and digital imaging tools, providing patients a greater opportunity to fully understand and participate in the process of their dental care.

The Wolken dental practice includes family and cosmetic dentistry with personal care, primarily serving the residential areas of Clayton, Ladue, Richmond Heights, University City and Olivette, as well as the Clayton business community.
Steven F. Wolken, D.D.S.
Dr. Steven F. Wolken, D.D.S, has been practicing with Wolken Dental for over 30 years. He has served the Clayton community in many ways since joining Wolken Dental. In addition to providing consistently quality dental care, he has served on the Board of Directors of the Clayton Chamber of Commerce, was the Clayton Rotary Club's 1985 Rotarian of the Year, and served as a Clayton Alderman for six years. He, along with his wife, Joan, established the Wolken Dental Science Achievement Scholarship for Clayton High School seniors of excellent character and accomplishment. Dr. Wolken is passionate about quality dental care and dedicated to the Clayton community.
Christopher M. Wolken, D.D.S.
Christopher M. Wolken, D.D.S, is a graduate of the University of Missouri, Kansas City Dental School. Dr. Christopher M. Wolken joined Wolken Dental in 2003, ushering in the third generation of Wolken practitioners. Going beyond quality primary dental care, Dr. Christopher Wolken has completed training in Oral Surgery and Endodontics. He is certified in treating orthodontic patients with Invisalign techniques. Practicing in the state-of-the-art Wolken Dental facility, Dr. Wolken is well-equipped to provide high-quality, full-scope dental care.
Andrew Wolken, D.D.S.
Dr. Andrew Wolken, D.D.S. graduated from Clayton High School in 2000 and received his bachelors degree from John Carrol University in 2004. He received his DDS degree from University of Missouri Kansas City upon his graduation in 2008. Dr. Andrew recently returned from Zambia, Africa where he used his dental training to aid in missionary work for the local tribes.

This award is presented in gratitude for the outstanding education provided to our six children, all graduates of Clayton High School. The values and sensibilities instilled in our children throughout their many years in the Clayton school system have been invaluable in assisting them as they pursued their college degree and postgraduate education.
We are very grateful to all the teachers, coaches and administrators who were responsible for guiding our children and reinforcing those principles we considered important in their development.
