Whitening

The Zoom!™ Chairside Whitening System is a scientifically advanced, tooth whitening procedure. It's safe, effective and fast. In under an hour your teeth will be dramatically whiter. Zoom!™ is ideal for anyone looking for immediate results. The convenience of Zoom!™ in comparison to days of wearing trays or strips, makes it the perfect choice for the busy individual.

Tooth whitening is a well established procedure in cosmetic dentistry. Hydrogen Peroxide, the active agent in Zoom!, has been safely used for many years in the treatment of gums and other soft tissue.

The whitening process is effective on most discolored teeth. Darker stains, such as those caused by antibiotics, are more difficult to whiten. The degree of whiteness will vary from patient to patient, depending on the structure of the teeth.

Bonding & Veneers

When teeth are discolored, worn, chipped, or misaligned, one option is porcelain veneers. A thin shell is adhered to the front side of affected teeth, resulting in significant cosmetic improvement. Porcelain is an excellent material for veneers because it produces a very life-like surface and resists staining. (Other materials are also available.) Bonding and veneers can often be completed in one office visit.

Invisalign™ teeth straightening

A welcome alternative to braces, Invisalign™ straightens teeth through a series of clear aligners. These can be removed while you eat, brush, and floss. Wolken Dental can establish a treatment schedule, and custom fit your aligners. Comfortable to wear, the Invisalign™ treatment schedule usually lasts a year, and the results last a lifetime!

Upon an initial examination, Dr. Wolken decides if Invisalign® is right for you. Dr. Wolken constructs a treatment plan and takes an impression of your teeth, which are submitted to Invisalign. Using the latest advances in 3-D computer technology, Invisalign carefully translates Dr. Wolken's instructions into a series of precisely customized aligners. You then wear each set of aligners for about two weeks, moving your teeth, gradually — week by week, millimeter by millimeter — until you've achieved the intended result: straighter teeth. Generally, you visit Dr. Wolken no more often than you would with braces and the length of treatment is about the same.

Dental Implants

When a patient has lost a tooth, an alternative to crowns and traditional bridges are dental implants. Implants can feel more natural and secure because they are fused to the patient's jawbone. A thorough examination by Wolken Dental can determine if you are a candidate for dental implants. While every patient's situation is unique, many implant patients can leave the office wearing their prothetic teeth on the same day of the procedure.
